Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
What is the difference between mobile dentistry and portable dentistry?
In the United States, dentistry conducted outside of a traditional office setting is often referred with the general term "mobile dentistry”. In Massachusetts a dentist or dental hygienist can apply for specific permits for dentistry outside of a typical office setting:
Permit M-Mobile Dental Facility-MDF: In Massachusetts a mobile dental facility involves a patient receiving dental services by exiting their home and going inside a custom dental van or trailer.
Permit M-Portable Dental Operation-PDO: In Massachusetts a portable dentistry operation occurs when dental services are provided when high tech, portable equipment is brought into a patient's home or any location convenient to the patient. Working with the PDO permit and portable equipment is the type of dentistry provided by Cleary Place.
What happens to your instruments after you leave my house?
Your health and safety are our top priority. We follow strict protocols to ensure all dental instruments are sterile, adhering to or exceeding CDC guidelines and industry standards. To guarantee optimal performance, we send weekly tests to an independent facility for validation. If you'd like a copy of the most recent spore test results, we would be happy to provide them.
